Every couple of years, an artist reintroduces us to what timeless means. The voice resonates. The story relates. The style entices. Asa, pronounces asha, is that artist.

The Paris-born, Nigerian-raised singer climbed her way to fame with her sultry vocals and poignant songwriting skills in 2006. The song, Why Can’t We, was released in 2010 on her sophomore albumĀ Beautiful Imperfection. “Why Can’t We” has a playful ring to it, prompting your shoulders to do cute little bounces.
